Residential buildings are not all built using bricks, but that doesn't mean you cannot enjoy the beauty and benefits of bricks in your home. Our innovative system of cutting and mounting bricks using either a rail system or directly like tiles makes it possible to use bricks without needing major modifications or strengthening the building. Where and Why to Use Façade Bricks in Brisbane

You can use our specially cut bricks anywhere in the house to create the effect of real bricks – the only limitation is your imagination. The guiding principle behind the use of bricks is for the effect that is gained, including these points:

Look. The primary use of our bricking system is to create the look and feel of real bricks in the home without the negative aspects of weight and thickness associated with using full-size bricks.
Insulation. Real Australian bricks are a great insulator, helping to maintain temperatures and contain sounds. Our cut bricks provide the same benefits as full-size bricks.
Renovation. It is possible to remove the brick façade and replace it with a different style without upsetting the structural integrity of the building. This fact is great for renovations or when adding to the building and the same brick is no longer available.

The Options for Façade Bricks on the Gold Coast

We provide two proven methods for installing the bricks in and on your home. It is largely a matter of preference which method is used, but it is also a requirement for certain types of walls.

Brick and rail system. The bricks have a groove cut into the top, which slots into the metal frame that has been attached to the wall. This allows us to line them up straight and move the bricks around for the best effect before adding mortar and setting them in.
Stick a brick system. We cut the bricks to the right thickness for solid adhesion using standard tile adhesive. Our "EMPIRE brick lips" make it easy to evenly space the bricks so that it looks like a real wall.

Brick Options for Feature Walls

Simply put, we can cut any brick for use as either a brick "tile" or in the rail system. However, some bricks are better than others, which immediately equates to a better use economy. A major benefit of good bricks is that we can cut two faces from them, which doubles the area of coverage of a single brick. Another advantage is less breakage during the cutting process, which also affects the final yield from a pallet of bricks.

We have our own line of bricks, all genuine made in Australia, which works best with cutting and produces the least waste. We recommend customers look at these first.
We can cut any brick, so customers can specify a particular line from any manufacturer in Australia. The type of cuts and the amount of waste cannot be guaranteed.
We can also use a complete mixed bag of recycled bricks for the ultimate exposed look that just screams raw brick power.
